We are an all female choir of about 40 voices, singing in 3 or 4 sections. We perform a varied programme: songs from the shows, favourites from the pop, jazz and world music repertoires, early music and our talented MD's own arrangements. In a 'normal year' we perform 4 or 5 concerts a year and we also take part in other events such as carol singing and special celebrations.
Choir members are of varied ages and walks of life. We come from Chapel-en-le-Frith and the surrounding area, Buxtron and villages all around. We are a friendly group and if you are new to the area, joining us is a good way of making friends. We have a social committee who arrange a variety of activities.
You can also join us as a 'Friend'. For more details, see the Support Us page.

Our President is Hilary Batterbee

Serving as a magistrate for 30 years is still a time consuming occupation. She enjoys gardening and country life and if granted one wish it would be to have a magnificent singing voice! In the meantime pretending whilst listening to the choir has to be sufficient for someone who enjoys music, but cannot sing!
